Welcome

Following the formation of a new committee during the latter part of 2002, it became the aim & ambition of all members to develop the Blythe Bridge & Forsbrook Village Hall once again into an important & integral part of the local community, ensuring it has the capability to meet today's needs of both existing & potential users, while still remaining a viable financial proposition.

About the Village Hall
The Blythe Bridge & Forsbrook Village Hall scheme originated in 1972 with the formation through the Forsbrook Parish Council of a Steering Committee, which then became autonomous, and in the Autumn of 1974 a local public meeting adopted a formal constitution with the scheme becoming a Registered Charity No. 501217.
The appointment of a Committee of Management agreed that a Village Hall be built for the use of the inhabitants of Blythe Bridge & Forsbrook areas, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.
A review of various sites was undertaken, and the existing site off Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge was acquired with a grant aid for the purchase of the land approved early 1974 and the land vested in the official Custodian for Charities. In mid 1974 the Charity received a further grant aid enabling the building to commence, with local support organising fundraising events, & a "buy a brick" scheme. The Hall was completed in 1980, & officially opened by Arthur Cholerton 1st. August 1981.
